How to use Sandfall

Pick a time, shake the phone, play. That's it.

1. Pick a time. Tap a quick pick, use − and +, or choose Custom to set any time down to the second.
2. Set the timer. Tap Set timer and put the phone in the middle of the table.
3. Shake to start. Give the phone a quick shake. The sand starts draining from the edges into the middle. You can also tap the screen.
4. Watch the sand. When it's all gone, time's up. You'll hear the alarm and feel the phone buzz.
5. Next turn. Shake again, or tap Next turn, to start the next player's turn.

Handy extras

• Tap the screen during a turn to pause, restart or change the time.
• In Options you can hide the countdown, choose the chime sound and when it rings, pick a background, and set how hard you need to shake.

Premium (one-off £1.49)

• Five more styles: futuristic lights, snake, water, rainbow and colour block. With colour block you can give each player their own colour.
• Turn and round counter. Shows whose go it is at the top. Set the number of players in Options.
• Overtime count-up. After time's up, a red count shows how far over the player has gone.
• Flip to pause. Turn the phone face down to pause, and face up to carry on.
• Switch each game extra on in Options, under Game extras.

About Sandfall

A board game timer you start with a shake. Everyone can see how much time is left at a glance, so nobody has to watch the numbers.
